What’s The Best Mindfulness Books For Reading?

If you have practiced mindfulness everyday life techniques, you’re one of a special bunch of people. While it seems that life moves at lighting speed for some just trying to catch up with life, if you are immersed in mindfulness learning you may just be ahead of the game.

So, what is mindfulness and how does being mindful in your everyday life bring better peace and tranquility versus those who are moving 100 miles an hour and going nowhere fast?

Mindfulness in simpler terms is living in the moment and being aware of what you are doing and where you are at the present.  Pretty simple really but it’s amazing how many of us are thinking 100 miles an hour and really just getting nowhere.

Check out this best seller book called “Wherever You Go there You Are” Mindfulness Meditation In Everyday Life. This is a must read for beginners learning mindfulness techniques as well as others with some basic knowledge.

Are You Living Mindfully In Your Life?

Living a mindfulness everyday life routine can be difficult. Most days we have to be ready for anything at anytime and for some they feel they just can’t keep up. Are you struggling with juggling life’s everyday tasks? Do you worry about anything and everything? Are you so frazzled you can’t see to think straight? Do you feel on guard constantly?

If you can answer yes to any of the above questions then mindfulness reading and music may be the answer for you. I have been practicing mindfulness for a while now and while I am not a doctor I do know that there are some mindfulness everyday life techniques that help me to quiet my mind and give me a sense of peace even when things seem crazy.

Maybe you are like me. Maybe you have some issues that you just can’t seem to figure out on your own. Aside from going to a therapist, there are some things you can do. And reading and understanding how mindfulness works and how you can apply the techniques may be all you need to get on the path to peace and tranquility.

Music can help too so be sure to use meditation de-stress music to sleep at night. It’s as simple as plugging in your headphones before you sleep and let yourself drift off to sleep.

I recommend these headphone earbuds from Amazon.

Now, before you do drift off to sleep with your mindfulness reading and music you may want to try using this 3 hours of meditation music I found that does wonders.

To your health and happiness.

  1. Hi David, my answer is yes to almost all the questions you asked. I worry about everything and struggle with juggling my everyday tasks. My mind wanders about a lot and I have always felt this was because I have three little children that need my attention every time, couple with my job, housework and other things. I like your recommendations especially ” music”. It always soothes me. I will be practicing that a lot more. Thank you for this post.

  2. Meditation! Really interesting stuff I have been looking into lately. Have you heard of the concept of presence, advocated by Eckhart Tolle? In what way is Mindfulness different to what he is teaching? Can’t really make a distinction myself.

    1. Thanks for the comment. I have heard of Tolle and it does all tie together in being in the present moment and time. It really is the key to happiness to be living in the moment rather waiting for something to happen to become happy. And that is where it’s easy to get stuck in life. Mindfulness is pretty much the same thing. Being aware and present in your everyday life. I find that it’s much easier to live this way with a partner in crime so to speak. That way you can interact and be in the present moment with each other. Much like playing frisbee. You can’t really play it if you’re busy living in the past.
